Why does the APP’s button(s) load last on my detail page?
Great question. The loading speed is based on priority set by the native shopify code. Shopify serves the content based on priority. For example, your store logo/text/photos are loaded first, then description with any API’s from instagram/facebook/etc. Then finally, API’s from apps. Yes… we get served last. Typically, our button shows within 0.2-0.8 seconds in the USA as our servers are based in the United States. Other countries may take additional time to “call” the content from our servers.
Here is an example of a site that does not have a lot of 3rd party API content. It only takes about 0.5 seconds to load. This video was recorded on WIFI with relatively high connection speeds. Consider testing your load times using WIFI and then also test it on your phone without WIFI (like 5g or other phone service). If you have a firewall or use IP masking services, this may also delay your load times.
