WHAT DOES GEO LOCATE DO?
This feature allows you to send customers to various Amazon detail pages based on their IP address or geographical location. So a customer in Japan that clicks on our button will automatically go to the Amazon detail page in Japan. The same button will send a customer located in the UK to the Amazon detail page in the United Kingdom.

This website will create a URL that is compatible with all Amazon Marketplaces (+ Walmart, eBay, etc) and it is super easy to setup. You will simply generate a URL on http://geniuslink.com/ and use that URL as your CUSTOM URL on our app. Do not enable our GEO-LOCATE option if you use Genius Link :).
HOW DO I ENABLE GEO-LOCATE WITHIN YOUR APP?
- Go to Shopify Backoffice Dashboard.
- Then APPS > Buy Now Button > Markets > Geo Redirect <screenshot>
- Follow steps provided.
- Enter APIkey and Save.
- Go to Dashboard > Edit Button > Show GeoLocate URL <screenshot>
- Enter URL’s for valid countries <screenshot>
- Save & Test URL <screenshot>
CAN GEOLOCATE SEND CUSTOMERS TO A SPECIFIC AMAZON DETAIL PAGE USING A CUSTOM URL?
Yes. Currently, it will send customers to the URL you specify here <screenshot>. Customers will be redirected to the URL if their IP address is from that country.

MY GEOLOCATE STOPPED WORKING?
The free version of iplocate.io is only good for 1000 requests/day. A request is defined as a Shopify product detail page view (not button click). In addition, Shopify shares the IP address of your store with other stores (unless you have a dedicated IP), so you are sharing your impressions with other stores. If our button stops showing during the day, you might consider upgrading to the paid version from https://www.iplocate.io/pricing. Plans start at $15/mo.
